Only 13 more days until the opening of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the new $1 billion stadium that will be the home of the Brooklyn Nets. Jay-Z opens Barclays with a series of concerts beginning on Friday, September 28. Unfortunately, all eight shows are sold out at TicketMaster.
For those procrastinators like me, if you still want to attend one of Jigga’s eight opening concerts, you can still get tickets at other websites like Stub Hub, Tickets Now or any number of ticketing sites around the web. You really just have to shop around for the best deal. After comparing ticket prices across the web, this Brooklyn Boy bought his Jay-Z Brooklyn tickets at Ticket Liquidator. Whatever you do, make sure you get them soon, because this is an historical occasion. It’s not every day you get to attend a celebration of the opening of a new stadium in Brooklyn with hometown fav Jay-Z, who grew up right here in the Marcy Projects.
Barclays also recently announced some new events at the stadium on the Barclays Facebook page – if you are interested in making it out to Barclays to see an event this year, I recommend following the page to stay up-to-date on the latest Barclays news.
The Smashing Pumpkins are performing at Barclays on October 31; The Who is performing on November 14; Bob Dylan is performing on November 21; and one of my favorite bands in the nineties, Green Day, is performing at Barclays on January 16. Most of these events still aren’t sold out, so head to Ticket Master and get your tickets soon. It seems like everyone wants to get out to Brooklyn this year to check out many of these acts at Barclays Center. Check out the Barclays Calendar of Events to see one of the many hot events coming to BK.
Brooklyn can’t wait for the return of sports and events to the borough, ever since the Dodgers skipped town. We’ve waited since 1957. What’s 13 more days?
